"We ate at the Inn on both evenings of our stay - the meals were first class, especially the Steak Night, with the best sauce for our rump steaks that we've ever tasted."

"Our room(s) at The Mill House Inn were both very spacious, especially the bathroom, and kept the character of the old mill with big roof beams"

“The Mill House distinguishes itself with award-winning dining and a genuine dedication to guest care, though taxi availability requires advance planning. As a restored 18th-century corn mill near Tintagel Castle, its historic charm extends to extensive gardens. I particularly note the numerous varieties of rhododendrons. It's a destination where attentive service complements a tranquil North Cornwall setting.”

sticky carpets worn room
the breakfast was acceptable, and it included various options.
the room was not clean. dust was everywhere, and the carpets seemed sticky. i feel the family room was worn.
The staff gave me a warm welcome, even with my early arrival. my room (room 6) felt spacious, with convenient tea making facilities. i appreciated the powerful shower and that i didn't need to close the curtains because the location felt so secluded. The privacy was AMAZING!!! i especially loved the perfectly cooked eggs at breakfast. The fried egg wasn't crispy and the scrambled eggs were unlike anything i have ever tasted.
the tv in my room was the smallest i had seen in years.
Location
9/10
the hotel is a short ten minute drive from the main town. this proximity offers convenient access to local attractions while still maintaining a sense of peaceful seclusion, a balance i valued.
Rooms
9/10
the rooms are very super clean and cozy. the king size bed was super and ensured a restful night. there were good tea making facilities in the room.
Dining
10/10
The dining options presented a good variety. breakfast offered super choices. my evening meal of the mushroom and brie burger was messy but delicious. The chunky chips were particularly great.

GREAT place!
spacious room friendly staff fabulous dinner
the room was spacious with a sofa. the staff was very friendly and dinner was fabulous. breakfast was pre ordered, also good. i REALLY liked the location, with a lovely cove and beach in the village of treknow nearby.
i was a bit disappointed by the car park. It had large pot holes full of water. cigarette ends were also on the patio, right by the entrance to the reception.
Rooms
9/10
My room was HUGE, it came with a nice sofa and tv. i had plenty of space to relax, even with luggage. the bed was super comfy and offered a great nights sleep.
Facilities
8/10
the breakfast area was bright and cheery, a super way to start the day. i noticed ample parking, with spaces near the entrance. The hotel had a lovely garden area, perfect for a stroll.
Service
10/10
staff were REALLY helpful, especially with local directions. The check in process was smooth and quick, a total breeze. i appreciated the restaurant staff who offered quick service and delicious meals.
the mill house had a very traditional cornish feel. my room was spacious , and everything seemed to flow well. the breakfast was superb , i found it to be well worth the money.
the reception area felt underwhelming , resembling more of a hostel. there was no greeting until i rang the bell. the room walls seemed quite thin , i could hear conversations clearly.

mixed feelings about this hotel
dated family room uncomfortable beds
the location was convenient for exploring the area. breakfast provided a decent start to the day.
our family room felt quite dated and in need of refurbishment. the beds were not very comfortable, and we could hear noise from other rooms, it was not the relaxing experience we hoped for.
